2. Booking Confirmation

- Required information is incomplete or inaccurate.
- Resources are unavailable.
- Safety concerns exist.
- Circumstances beyond our control prevent us from providing the requested Services.
Any quotation provided is based solely on the information supplied by the Customer. Additional Goods, changes in access conditions, or extra Services requested after confirmation may result in additional charges.
3. Our Services
We will provide the Services described in your confirmed quotation or booking confirmation.

Any additional work requested outside the original quotation may incur additional charges.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth move, you agree to:
- Provide accurate pickup and delivery addresses.
- Supply accurate information about the Goods being transported.
- Declare any fragile, oversized, hazardous, or high-value items before the move.
- Remove or personally transport valuables such as cash, jewellery, passports, confidential documents, firearms, medications, and sentimental items.
- Ensure adequate access to both pickup and delivery locations.
- Ensure someone authorised is available at both locations during the agreed service time.
Delays caused by restricted access, inaccurate information, waiting time, unavailable elevators, stairs, parking restrictions, or customer-related issues may result in additional charges.
5. Packing
Where packing services are provided by Moving With Sam, we will use reasonable care and appropriate packing materials.
If you choose to pack your own Goods, we cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by inadequate or improper packing.
Fragile items should be clearly identified before transportation.
6. Pricing and Payment
Prices are based on the information provided at the time of quotation.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Extra Goods
- Waiting time
- Long carry distances
- Stair access
- Difficult access
- Additional labour
- Packing materials
- Storage
- Changes requested after booking confirmation
Where required, a booking deposit must be paid before Services commence.
Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is due upon completion of the Services.
We reserve the right to suspend or withhold delivery of Goods where payment remains outstanding, subject to applicable New Zealand law.
7. Cancellations and Booking Changes
Customers may cancel or reschedule their booking by providing reasonable notice before the scheduled moving date.
Where significant preparation has already occurred, or cancellation is made shortly before the scheduled move, cancellation fees may apply.

8. Liability
We exercise reasonable care in handling your Goods.
However, we are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from:
- Customer-packed items
- Undeclared fragile or valuable items
- Ordinary wear and tear
- Mechanical or electrical failure of appliances
- Pre-existing damage
- Poor packaging supplied by the Customer
- Natural deterioration of items
- Force Majeure events
Customers are encouraged to arrange appropriate transit insurance for valuable belongings.
9. Claims for Loss or Damage
Any claim relating to loss or damage should be submitted in writing as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Claims should include:
- Booking details
- Description of the damaged item
- Photographs (where available)
- Supporting documentation
We will assess claims in accordance with applicable New Zealand consumer laws.
10. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations where such delays result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
